Snow on Riverside

March 1, 2010


Along Riverside Boulevard, I marked my footsteps on a blank, white surface of the snow. I made a trace on my feet and left footprints on the white surface. Looking back on where I made a trace, the flakes covered the surface and my footsteps were suddenly vanished into nowhere. But no matter how temporary it was, it gave a tiny smile on my face. A little happiness of that day.

"Hang on. I think I stepped on my gown. I don't want to get it dirty", the bride said.

"What? Where? Let me see.....( a minute passed)! Well, it's just a dress", he said.

"What do you mean "just a dress"? , this is my wedding gown..."

(Thinking..., isn't it just a dress?)

Daisies are the happiest flowers that I’ve ever seen
Dancing in the sunshine with their leaves of green
Their faces always smiling bright, cheerful all the while
Anyone who sees their dance will surely have to smile

As the circle in the sunlight who will gaily leap and prance
